The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is an employee benefit program offered by the Little Wound School to its employees.  The program is intended to help employees deal with personal problems that might adversely impact their work performance, health, and well-being.
 
Benefits of the EAP program include:

• Support for the employer. An EAP can help the employer manage a complex employee situa
tion.
• Support for the employee. When stress, distress, substance abuse, or depression takes hold, it begins to interfere with an employee’s work performance.
• Preventive care. An EAP can provide access to some education and on-site training.
• Emergency Consultation: An EAP can provide crisis counseling as needed.

Some problems the EAP might help employees to resolve include:

• Drug or alcohol abuse
• Emotional distress
• Child or elder care issues
• Anxiety
• Marital or family relationship concerns
• Emotional distress
• Depression
• Financial difficulties
