Our Vision
Little Wound School will strive to provide the most current and innovative educational opportunities to assure our students have rigorous academic teaching, a strong sense of cultural identity, access to technology, as well as providing systems for physical health and emotional growth. Students will be prepared to be productive members of the Lakota Nation who value the Lakota culture and strive for excellence in the future endeavors as well as their community.
Our Mission
Taopi Cikala Owayawa will provide a sacred environment for students to achieve academic and Lakota language and cultural excellence.
Our Office
The administrative office is located near the south entrance of the high school. All outside visitors who visit the administrative office will check in at security office who will direct you to the office.
The Superintendent is responsible for the management of the school, the administration of all school board policies, and is directly accountable to the school board and keeps the school board informed of events and happenings at the school.
Communication is key. Some methods used to communicate school announcements and publicize all the great news about out school and our Mustang students and staff are:
Newspapers/Media. When applicable we will issue press release regarding school news.
Social Media. Follow our daily news by checking out our social media pages on
Facebook. School Announcements are made via Messenger, on Facebook, KOTA Channel 3, and KILI radio regarding school dismissals or any other important announcements to parents and the community.
